Young MBSA has supported project and competition “The Good Entrepreneur 2009”

 

Prague, 13th July 2009 – Young MBSA has supported project and competition “The Good Entrepreneur 2009” aimed at entrepreneurs across Europe with environmentally responsible business concepts.

CNBC and Allianz have partnered to launch a competition to identify entrepreneurs across Europe with environmentally responsible business concepts.
The competition, supported by the following institutions, opened at the beginning of June and the individual named “The Good Entrepreneur of 2009” will receive a prize package valued at more than €250,000. The package includes exposure on CNBC as well as comprehensive business support from Allianz.

Applications close on 31 July 2009, and the three finalists will be announced in August 2009.
The finalists will then be filmed to feature in a four-part televised series on CNBC, documenting the progress of each person. In the series finale, a panel of high profile judges will reveal the winner of the competition. The series will be broadcast across Europe, the Middle East and Africa and in Asia during the autumn of 2009.

The panel of judges includes:
1. Nani Beccalli-Falco, President and CEO International, GE
2. Reid Hoffman, Founder & CEO, LinkedIn
3. Dr. Armin Sandhövel, CEO, Allianz Climate Solutions
4. Sir David King, Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment and UK Government’s Chief Scientific Adviser, 2000 – 2007
5. Jean-Philippe Courtois, President, Microsoft International

June 8th 2009: Competition opens
July 31st 2009: Entry period closes
August 7th 2009: Shortlists announced
August 17th 2009: Finalists Announced
November 2009: Grand Final on CNBC
